Sicky soft toys

DD2 was sick in her bed last night and 2 of her toys are a bit smelly this morning. Neither of them have washing instructions on, what would you suggest?

They're both Jellycat with fluffy fur.

after ds2 threw up a full donner kebab on his bed i think the way to go is to sponge them down thouroughly with vosene shampoo then line dry finishing with 10 mins in the drier with several bounce sheets....

I just stick them in the washing machine inside a pillowcase.

I'm a bit nervous about machine washing them, I don't want the stuffing to go lumpy. Your idea sounds good windy, I hadn't thought of using shampoo.

Any more ideas?

I would sponge them with biological washing liquid and them put them in a plastic bag in the freezer to get rid of any germs.

I have always machined washed them, even those with no washing instructions or those which say surface wash only. I have never had a toy go lumpy on me, although I must confess, I would rather they did go lumpy than not wash a toy that has been vomited on, (but that is only because I am phobic about vomit).
