and the load of washing is full of "bits" of nappy from where it broke....

If I stick it straight back in (minus the nappy) will all the bits disappear, or am I going to have to shake all the bits off outside first??

Stick it straight back in to get the worst off, then you'll probably have to brush the rest off when dry.

shove it in again. i usually wash pooey nappies at 60, although i'm told 40 is fine. if there are delicates that won't withstand a vigorous wash it would be worth fishing it out.

I did this once. I had crystals all in the machine - I think I scooped most of them out, then put the machine on a rinse cycle to clean the machine and then put the washing back in and washed that again.

thanks, shall wait until H has picked the DS's up and sort it when he's gone......he was supposed to be here at 10.......although he said "10ish" - which means I have the DS's standing at the window getting restless.

Shake it off outside first.
Scoop what you can out of the machine. Can you put the hoover in?

Put the load back in.
Add another rinse cycle.

THEN clean out the filter on your washing machine.
