Window vacuums-are they worth it?

I’m toying with getting one but don’t know if it will actually be worthwhile….we have a window cleaner, but our windows are ginormous and I hate cleaning the insides so they only get done once in a blue moon, but need done more!

If you have one do you use it a lot or is it novelty value? (No condensation issues )

We got a tower one from B&M. I used it yesterday and it's really good! It was only £20!!

Yes definitely worth it. I used mine on my shower screen more than the windows!

I like mine and use it on the shower screen too, but I've yet to develop a technique that avoids lines which I then have to polish off, using the microfibre cloth I could have used to dry the window in the first place.

That was going to be my next question-about brands, as I don’t fancy spending about £80 on a Karcher!

I have a basic Karcher which was more like £30. I love it, I clean my windows more now and I use it to remove condensation from them on winter mornings too.

When mine broke I replaced it with the same model.

I use my Karcher pretty much every day in winter, bay windows and a conservatory make it necessary!

Yes! They are brilliant. I use mine to dry the shower screen and tiles, on the glass hob, windows, mirrors etc. DH loves it for the car windows. Mine is a Karcher WV2. It has two different sized blades and the water tank can just be popped open to empty rather than removing the whole tank. I got it on offer for around £50.

I’ve got one, a cheaper one and it’s ok but my mum has a karcher and it’s so much better!

The jury’s still out, I’m just not sure I’ll get enough use out of it…we don’t have a conservatory or anything, and don’t ever get condensation inside🤔

They are very good for sucking condensation off windows, but if you don't have that problem, I don't see that you need one.

You can get an Ettore squeegee for finishing off after you have cleaned windows and shower screens. It's like a windscreen wiper. Use a rag to wipe it dry if working indoors.

@PigletJohn thanks for confirming my thoughts…I use a proper window cleaner’s wide squeegee when I’m cleaning the inside of the windows and the showers anyway, but wondered if there was something I was missing!
