electric kettle recommendation

I'm a very busy woman, balancing online work and home chores, which makes it difficult for me to manage everything. One challenge I face is making tea. I'm wondering if using an electric kettle is a good option for this. Is it safe? How should I clean it if I use it to make tea? Has anyone here had personal experience with this? Also, I recently bought an electric kettle—do you think it's suitable for making tea?

Of course it is suitable for making tea. You just boil it and then pour the boiling water onto the tea. You talk as if you might be making tea IN the kettle. That's not what you do. The tea is made by pouring the boiling water from the kettle into the cup or teapot, on top of the teabags or loose leaf tea.

What do you mean how do you clean it? Give it a wipe over with a damp cloth on the outside. Otherwise just boil water inside it. Use a proprietary descaling product now and then if you live in a hard water area.

It is definitely safe.

oh thank u for your reply, but I'm wondering if it's safe to put tea bags directly in the electric kettle to make strong tea, especially since the water in my area isn't hard. have you tried this? Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

Definitely do not put tea bags in an electric kettle. Are you in America by any chance?

Buy an insulated teapot as well as a kettle, boil the kettle pour water onto teabags in the insulated teapot, and leave for how, ever long then, drink.
Even a regular teapot with a cosy on will keep tea warm for a good while.

I am sorry that sounded so rude. Talk speech to text does not always sound right

No!! You simply do not put teabags or tea into a kettle. Be that an electric kettle or a hob top one. A kettle is only for boiling water.

Put the teabags, tea, coffee into the cup or pot and pour the boiling water from the kettle on top of them. It is the boiling water hitting the cold, dry tea leaves that releases the flavour from them. That's all there is to it.

Keep the kettle for water only.

You can use a flask to keep large amounts of tea warm for long periods of time
