Getting a cleaner

Looking at getting a cleaner for the first time what’s the going rate we are in the north west

how many hours for a 3 bed semi need to have declutter first then thinking of a one off deep clean then a weekly cleaner as I am struggling to keep on top of things and it’s causing arguments and resentment when we can afford to get a cleaner

dh doesn’t want a cleaner he uses the excuse he works nights on a rolling shift pattern but doesn’t usually get home til lunch time so they won’t disturb his sleep if they come first thing in the morning so I am just going to book one

if you already have a cleaner what jobs do they do for you each week do you have different monthly jobs ?

Getting a cleaner changed our lives. We only have the cleaners every four weeks but I tidy up before they come and they leave everything clean.
If you can afford a cleaner get one.
We pay £41 for two hours in Glasgow

Ours does two hours a week term time. They change bedlinen, dust and clean bedrooms and reception rooms, clean bathroom and utility room, vacuum and mop all floors. They don't deep clean - they'd need more than two hours to do that. Sometimes, I'll do the beds myself, so they can do all of the windows and frames (inside only),

This month, I will deep clean every room and cupboard, and I try to do the same Easter and Christmas hols. I could get cleaner to do that, but I don't mind doing it when I'm not working.

We pay £20 an hour in the north west. They do 3 hours but fortnightly. Clean all 3 bathrooms. Dust and Hoover bedrooms and sitting room. Sometimes change beds but I usually do it myself. Sometimes clean inside of windows.

3 hours a fortnight, £15 an hour (in Scotland).

They;

-Change 2 beds (I strip them before they come)
-Clean 3 bathrooms and 1 cloakroom
-Clean kitchen
-Hoover upstairs, and clean the floors downstairs
-General dusting everywhere
-Empty all bins

2hrs pw @ £20ph.

She doesn't do the bedrooms (my request). Bathrooms are cleaned, kitchen worktops and cupboard fronts are done; hob, sink. Floors up and down (including stairs) hoovered and steamed. She does something extra each week on a rolling basis, one week she'll do the washing machine and clean all the traps and drawer, one will be the oven and grill, one the microwave etc.

Life changing.

That’s incredibly good as you are in theory getting a deep clean once a month.
I don’t think it will keep you happy in the long run .
As there is no time for corners etc and then it may become “the cleaners” fault. ?
