Orange stains that won't come out!

Does anyone have any tips on how to get orange stains (the fruit that is, not just the colour) out of my dd's clothes. She's such a messy eater and always gets the juice all down her front. I've tried vanish but it doesn't make much difference. Such a shame as most of her tops are now splodgy looking!

weak bleach solution - unless delicate fabric or put out in the bright sun (well when there is any that is!).

I used to soak my dds' bibs in (diluted) Milton fluid.

I put all the tomato stained clothes (loads!) in our house to dry in the sunlight. Through a window is fine - really gets the orange out. HTH.

Wow! I didn't know that about sunlight! I guess it explains how some of the stains seemed to disappear when I used to hang the clothes out in the summer

I think I'll try the window sill for now Do you know if it will still work when the clothes have already been washed and dried a couple of times?

Yes I expect so, but clothes must be wet for best results.
