Clothes Moths. Heating whole house?

We have been battling clothes moths for years. Despite various house moves, the little bastards have followed us to each new house, with larvae munching through numerous beloved cotton and wool items.

I have tried so many methods for getting rid of them, from vacuuming, steaming clothes and furniture to foggers that spray insecticide around the room. Still they persist, as nothing is killing the eggs which hatch in warm weather.

I've heard freezing clothes is an option, but we don't have the freezer space to hold all of our clothes. We don't have a tumble dryer either to kill with heat (so would mean lots of trips to the launderette). Our carpets are synthetic, not woollen.

Moths have been spotted in most rooms of our house, even ones we don't store clothes in.
I REALLY don't want to spray chemicals, as we have a young child and are currently TTC.

I even ordered some parasitic wasps to destroy the eggs, but this was also ineffective. The wasps often arrived dead anyway.

After doing more research, I've heard that there are companies that can come in and heat your entire house to kill off all moth life stages (including eggs, larvae and the moths themselves).

Has anybody done this? Was it effective? Did anything in your house get ruined by the heat? I know this treatment can be used for bed bugs too, so happy to hear from anybody who's had this heat treatment for bed bugs. It's very expensive, so don't want to spend out, only to find they return in the Spring.

I would be really grateful to hear from anybody who has had their house heat treated to kill moths (or bed bugs). I'm at my wits' end and wondering if we'll have to just give up and live with them forever.
