A question about stick vacuums

Can you use them as a tube like a normal vacuum, for getting into corners? I've googled but can't find an answer.

It might depend on the make and model, but on mine, which is a Vax, you can remove the head like a normal vacuum and use the pipe to get into corners.

I hate mine, by the way, I'm constantly having to remove long hairs that have got trapped around the brush and the only way to do it is to cut them with scissors. So annoying.

I wouldn’t waste your money. We have a Dyson and it’s absolutely rubbish at getting anything more than very light dust and suction in corners is poor too. I’m constantly reverting back to my big bulky Shark.

I have a Vax pet one, and it came with a set of tools plus extra ones as a promotion. You can put a crevice nozzle on the long tube, or take off the long tube and put the crevice nozzle on the top bit. I really like it.

I've got a bad pet too and really like it, no issue with my shedding dog and children's hair that get everywhere.

We have a cordless Bosch stick cleaner, which I find really good. It has a large head for floors, a smaller one for furniture, and yes you can use the tube section for corners. We previously had a Dyson which I hated.

Yes, our Dyson has various tools which you can use with and without the long pipe and excellent suction, we didn't bother replacing our corded vac when it packed up a while ago as its just as good.

I have a shark one and you can take off both the bottom suction bit and the stick itself (to essentially convert it into a handheld). It came with 3 or 4 other attachments so I normally do the corners with one of those with it in handheld mode. It doesn’t have a flexible tubey bit like our old upright hoover but doesn’t really need it.
