I'm hoping some suggestions will inspire me to clean.

Fabulosa Unicorn dust concentrated disinfectant.

What a terrible name for a cleaning product though.

iAmBarbara · 18/05/2024 20:27

@evilharpy
I used to buy it from home bargains/b&b but it disappeared off shelves seemingly everywhere for a while. They have now changed the look of the packaging and its starting to pop back up in supermarkets/home bargains etc

Also if you have ‘the range’ near you, they always have some!

MrsSkylerWhite · 18/05/2024 20:29

Lemon juice and bicarb paste. Brilliant on grout.

merryandbrightdelight · 18/05/2024 20:57

Flash with bicarb and flash with french soap are real winners

merryandbrightdelight · 18/05/2024 20:58

BubblePerm · 17/05/2024 16:21

I lament the Flash French Soap cleaning spray disappearing, the one without lavender. Nothing with ever smell as good again.

The range still stock it!

SqueakyDinosaur · 18/05/2024 21:00

Wilton cedarwood laundry detergent. Just gorgeous.

At lot of the fabulosa products have 'odd' named fragrances..
Do smell lovely though...

Another lovely spelling fragrance is Method bathroom, the blue in colour one.

NoSnowdrop · 18/05/2024 22:14

Method products are poor at cleaning despite their cutesy scents.

I’ve boycotted them anyway since their misogynistic campaign using drag and horrendously offensive stereotypes.

Ugh, I wasn’t aware of this.

Whilst Googling for information on it, I also discovered Method were settling a huge class action lawsuit for incorrectly describing their products as “non-toxic” and “natural”.

Edited

Wish I had read this about Method before I stocked up.

My house is smelling nicer now, thanks to this thread's suggestions.

It looks like Flash bathroom might be in the lead but I don't know how Flash are ethically or environmentally.

M&S! Plant based, pet friendly, biodegradable and no animal testing.

Seriously, their cleaning stuff absolutely rocks. It's really reasonable too. And the laundry liquid/conditioner sandalwood and rose smells like Le Labo perfume!

Where do you buy this? I can only find on Ocado's website, not their own.

Zoflora grapefruit spray. My bathroom always smells amazing.

WingateAndSlim · 19/05/2024 16:16

Think I’ll be testing out some M&S this week.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 19/05/2024 16:31

Another vote for Flash bathroom cleaner.

I don't use many other cleaning products, I damp dust, and use a wet cloth, squeegee and dry cloth for glass/windows.

I like the Ecover lemongrass all purpose stuff to wipe down in the kitchen, but to be honest, soapy (washing up liquid) water is fine.

I have some of the Method almond floor cleaner which I quite like, but don't like the other smells. The rhubarb is particularly horrible to me 😂 I had some of that shower spray which stank but did fuck all, I threw it away in the end, as its only purpose seemed to be to stink the bathroom out!

I've noticed that a new shop selling Spanish cleaning products has opened a few miles from me - does anyone have any recommendations?

Just in M&S shops! Honestly, it's such good stuff and my house smells expensive (it definitely doesn't look it!)

TCP

HorribleHisTories15 · 19/05/2024 21:27

Mighty Burst - Grapefruit. Absolutely brilliant, just wish that I could get it more easily.

Doseofreality · 19/05/2024 21:29

Anything from the M&S cleaning range.

Alittlewordinyourear · 19/05/2024 23:00

Mrs meyers lemon verbena - smells amazing

Any of their floor cleaners... you wont believe what they bring up yuk.
For detergent i like the talco range. I also like their orange range and the alvi disinfectants.

HaystackHair · 18/05/2024 19:32

That's really interesting to hear from someone who cleans for a living, thank you.

Flash bicarbonate soda floor cleaner smells amazing.

CrepuscularWeasel · 20/05/2024 09:40

Bovrilla · 17/05/2024 17:32

Method is way too strong and artificial, the squirt and mop floor cleaner gave me a headache.

2 ways to do this: firstly, M&S. Their cleaning range is SO good and smells absolutely gorgeous. The sweet almond/orange is lovely I like the lemon/ginger and the bathroom cleaner lovely too

Make your own. I buy fragrance oils in things I like or essential oils to blend and have learned to make my own kitchen cleaners etc. lemon and herb blends always smell lovely and clean without being overpowering or sickly.

Glad it’s not just me. I was beginning to think I was a freak. I bought a bottle of their kitchen rhubarb one and ended up pouring it away as I just couldn’t be in the same room as it!

Pollypetdog · 20/05/2024 09:41

SpottedTailQuoll · 17/05/2024 12:26

Aldi Tandil Orange fragrance detergent - add a few slurps to a spray bottle 4/5s full of vinegar: soap scum disappears from bathroom tiles - no scrubbing required.

What kind of product is this please ?

Zoflora Midnight Bloom (Alien perfume smell)

Totally agree! Whenever someone comes over they always comment on the smell!

fabulosa do a fabric freshener called “winter angel” which smells exactly like lush’s snow fairy
