Cleaning old bath (think enamel?)

Morning all. Does anyone have any advice on what to use to clean an old bath? There are grey-ish marks around the edges of the bottom of the bath. I just can't seem tu clean them off.

I've looked up online and there are so many contradictory answers, so thought I'd try the collective Mumsnet wisdom!

Can you take a picture?

You should not use any cleaner with bleach in it, because it will degrade the enamel and make it look grey.

Same problem here.

That look like it’s not marks in the bath, it looks like the enamel has worn away. If that’s the case the only thing to do is re enamel.

@CassandraProphesying Oh dear. That doesn't sound straight forward?! Any tips on how to do that?

You can get a bath re-enameled in-situ.

No idea on the cost, but just search 'bath re-enameling'

Probably need to get a specialist in unless you’re/someone you know is exceptionally gifted at diy - you can buy re enameling paint but no idea how good a finish you get.

That's worn away. Can only be fixed by re enamel. Can be done in situ but results vary. Might be a lot cheaper to buy a new bath.
