washer dryer help needed!

My lovely DH bought me an Indesit washer/dryer yesterday. Now Ive only ever had a separate washing machine and tumble dryer before.

I did a load last night and tried to tumble dry it which worked fine(smelt faintly of warm rubber which I appreciate is the new machine) however left me thinking...

Is there a filter to clean the fluff from like a conventional dryer(nothing in manual)

Can I use tumble dryer sheets as normal?

Will I need to use water softners more if the limescale has the potential to be dried on IYSWIM?

Sorry if thats all stupid, it doesnt seem as convienient as my tumble dryer, cant open the door and interupt the drying etc to check if its dry either.

Some have a filter you can get to but some dont. Mine doesnt and I had to have repair man come out 2 days before it was out of warranty as had stopped working due to being blocked with dog hair! Am taking out extended cover now!

Have never used sheets or limescale stuff so dont know about that.

It is a pita in the winter tbh as I have a lot of washing and it takes longer to dry and also means I cant have 1 load washing and 1 drying at same time like I used to.

Also find not being able to open door half way through drying annoying but getting used to that now after a year.

ahhhh pesha that never even crossed my mind about doing more than one load at a time. i guess that'll be vital when i have baby in November too. Reckon i will use it as washing machine and hold on to my larger load trusty tumbledryer then. To be honest the sheets arent a vital thing as i use dryer balls but i thought they might help the new rubbery seal smell.

Its ok, I have 3 dc and me and if I keep on top of it and do at least 1 load every day then its ok. But if I get behind then I really struggle to catch up. Since it broke and I couldnt do any washing for nearly a week I've not been able to catch up, my washing pile has escaped the 2 large baskets I have and is creeping slowly across the landing I need more sunny days like today and to stop being so lazy!!
