Not sure if there is a better board for this post.

I don't want to use non stick pans anymore I'd like to use something safer.

Any body have any good recommendations?

I'm vegan so no meat to cook.

Or egg, which is the only thing that sticks. I’ve got two identical pans, both used nearly every day, and they are like new.

You ought to be able to pick up some (used) Le Creuset pans on eBay. Our pans have wooden handles and are probably 35 years old (certainly bought pre-'92). They are heavy. Aldi do a good enough mock casseroles from time to time. We discovered the nob on ours was a similar thread to Le Creuset after it didn't survive a few ventures into a very hot oven.

I gave my niece my Stellar unipot in the 90's, which is still doing fine.

Le creuset non stick (or Tefal/IKEA) frying pans didn't fare so well. We don't fry much, but we're giving Ninja "refurbs" on Ebay a go. I'm guessing that they were ex-display.

Stellar stainless steel. I've replaced all my non-stick pans with Stellar ones

I have le creuset stainless steel panda which I've had for about 16 years, great quality, hard wearing. Don't stick, and robust, great for cooking and also less expensive set of stellar stainless steel ones also a good buy. I'd recommend both but the Le creuset if you can afford it to last for the long haul.

Cast iron?

We have a cast iron pot for the oven and a stainless steel pan for soup/pasta etc.

But. I do have a tefal for eggs and pancakes as I haven't found a solution for these two adhesive little foods!!

We only have cast iron and stainless steel steamers. I have a cast iron crepe pan that is fabulous - we have pancakes at least once a week and they never stick. I also use my flat bottomed cast iron skillet for scrambled and fried eggs and they don't stick either. Keep trying! It took me a while to learn the ways of saute potatoes, but the sticky mush fear at the beginning is gives way after about 12 minutes to transform into beautiful crispy things of joy.

I have been seasoning them for about 8 years now and DH and I have a pretty easy routine for washing and re-seasoning them in the evenings. I am mildly obsessed with them.

I swapped to stainless steel a couple of years ago and would never go back. Even if something does stick, just soak for 30 mins and it lifts off no bother. Can scrub with metal scourer. I make pancakes every weekend in the ikea sensuell frying pan mentioned by a pp and they are perfect - never stick.

I do think it's key to get good ones with a nice thick base.

I also use stainless steel baking tins.

i changed all my non-stick pan to stainless steel after watching’Dark Water’ and luckily got a decent one at tk maxx with a very good price, now I can fry an egg use not much oil without stick.
my suggestion is choose a heavy one rather than a light one, cold pan cold oil, medium fire to heat the oil, when the oil has ‘wave’ and start smoke, then add food to it; main thing is make sure the oil is hot enough.
