Dents in the carpet - there forever??

Apologies for this most tedious and trivial question, especially on a Bank Holiday. We moved dd2 into her own room last night. When her cot was in our room we moved everything round, bed etc and this has left big "dents" in the carpet.

Any tips? I read somewhere to put icecubes in them - I just worry I will end up with little soggy/mildewy dents if I do that.

I've heard icecubes too. If all goes wrong, get the hairdryer to them to dry it out. Its only a bit of water.

I have the WI housekeeping book. I like things like this [dull emoticon]

Dry with a hairdryer? Or blot at it with a towel? Thanks peanut

I too clicked on this thread to suggest ice cubes, although I've never actually tried it!

I think ice only works on pure wool.So I don't know if it works.
