Underwear laundry

Dad, recently divorced, with 50% custody of teenage daughter.

My daughter's underwear is significantly stained due to her periods.
It never seemed to bother my ex-wife when we all lived in the same home, and I didn't feel in a position to raise it. (And yes, I pulled more than my weight with domestic chores.) Now I'm responsible for these things in my own house, I feel obliged to address at least the laundry, even if personal hygiene is a suicidal minefield.

So how the hell do you get serious menstrual stains out of underwear?

Me and my teenage dds have never had this problem… And trust me, there is plenty of menstrual blood with the three of us! We use vanish on sheets or clothes but generally just bio powder and a hot wash and they’re sparkly good as new 🤷🏻‍♀️ No special alchemy or goth knickers needed!

You have to put stain treater on right away and wash as soon as possible. Black undies will fix this, or period panties which are also usually black and designed to absorb more.

How is "I never had this problem" helpful exactly? It's condescending. Other people have issues you don't have and vice versa. Most females DO have this issue 🙄

I'm in the soaking in cold salty water camp.

Well I’ve said
a) I have 3 menstruating women in our home so
i have the same issue
b) I have explained exactly what I do in two separate circumstances
c) I’m challenging the idea that it’s that big a problem - we are in a hard water area and I only use cheap Tesco powder so it’s not exactly rocket science …

Soz that that isn’t helpful enough for you! Would you like me to offer to do your smalls for you ?

So you're just rude then. It's NOT helpful!

Cold water soak with salt or bicarb. It’s like magic the way it comes out.

Then wash as normal.
