Probably a perennial MN question, and no I'm not doing Cod's challenge!

I have a Panasonic machine and tend to make the large loaf (500g flour).

I have an electric meat slice bit like this and it does a great job

We have Panasonic too. The smaller loaf size is definitely easier to cut, and also I think white is easier than wholemeal, or I make it 60% wholemeal and the rest white, so it's not too crumbly.

What I also do is use the dough function to make bread or muffin dough, then bake them in the oven - easier to cut, and you can freeze what you don't use.

I have a thing from Lakeland which helps you to cut straight thin slices. I also have the Panasonic (who doesn't?) but I usually use the quick bake programme which turns out a smaller loaf anyway.
