Combined stand mixer and food processor - any such thing?

I don't have the worktop space for both but I do a fair bit of baking and use the food processor all the time, but it's really showing its age.
I currently use a hand mixer and it is a pain to use and can get messy.

You need a kenwood chef.

Thermomix. Does both these things and much more. Very £££ though 😬

Definitely can't afford a Thermomix!

Does the blender part of the Kenwood chop nuts etc?
I can see a grater attachment is available - I do grate/slice at the moment.

I've had my Kenwood chef for almost 18 years. It does all this and is going strong. Totally worth the initial outlay.

I use the spice grinder to chop small amounts of nuts, also to make small amounts of breadcrumbs and to finely chop ginger and garlic for curries (whenever the recipe says to grate them, which I can't be bothered doing). Then the processor attachment for chopping larger amounts of anything. The other great thing is that some of the newer models are compatible with older attachments so I have a secondhand grater attachment which works really well (though you can also just use the grater disc in the food processor).

Hmmm I wonder what vintage would be best to look out for on Ebay??

The kenwood website has a compatibility chart with all the product codes on.

I have a 10 year old Kenwood Chef and love it and use it regularly. Also there are so many attachments family tend to buy me a new toy to add to it every birthday/Christmas, often second hand. I love the ice cream churner attachment and pasta extruder best. Have also made sausages, minced meat, juiced......but mostly make cakes, sometimes kneed dough and regularly get the food processer and blender attachments out.

I had a Kenwood Prospero that had both.

Look at the reviews though. I didn't love mine and was quite happy when it broke. I found I had to be pushing ingredients down into the mixer all the time.

I just went back to mixing cakes and even bread in my food processor. I wouldn't do it for eg meringue, but for day to day baking it's fine.
