They may want a yes woman Ruby but they need you!

Lots of stuff has been done....well done everyone.

I did my 15 mins in the kids room but went out this afternoon and now I feel
My friends ds pulled my tea over himself. It appears that the cold shower dealt with it and there are only a couple of small reddish paches to see now, but I still feel awful. He had 3rd degree burns as a baby so she knows what to do, which was a blessing, as she was very quick

FunkyGoldStar · 05/03/2008 18:03

Bianca - if he doesnt want to eat his tea let him go hungry and maybe have a yoghurt before bed.

Ruby - I know the feeling but some people take a while to get to know. Give it a chance.

Jas - Accidents do happen with little kids. Your friend sounded like she acted quickly which is good. I guess it is one of those things which we all need to remind ourselves of sometimes. DD2 fell down the stairs at a friends house recently which was awful but has made us more careful.

BiancaCastafiore · 05/03/2008 18:26

Aww, Jas poor you! Accidents do happen though and it sounds as though you were lucky that the mum was so on the ball with what to do x

Ruby well done at the food meeting - I think it's good to have someone to shake things up a bit

Thanks FGS he's in bed asleep already so I guess he's just over-tired/coming down with something....He's been a terrible eater lately though, and terrible at sitting up at the table both of which drive me mad!

Dd has gone to Rainbows and was collected by the ultra-early neighbours who knocked on the door just as I lost it and was yelling at ds

Better get my act together and go and clear the kitchen etc.

TheMadHouse · 05/03/2008 19:40

Evening all

Bianca DS1 can sometimes be like that. I just let him go hungry and leave the table, but he asks " please may I leave the table" and I am evil and cling film his plate so that when he starts I am hungry - he gets that. I dont keep it all day though - he he he

Jas One of my colleagues little boys had to have a skin graft due to a coffee spil, I know how you feel thought, as DS1 threw my coffee at DS2 once, straght in to the shower with clothes on and all - often quick action is important. I did a peadiatric first aid cource after DS2 was born

Ruby I would rather have a person like you than the food police any day - I am a tastes person. I think that if you deny food they want it more (well I do). I think that we should be teaching our children to make informed decisions regarding their food. My DS's would rather have grapes and strabs anyday than sweets, but they now that they can have more grapes and strawberrys than sweets IYKWIM. I have an ex-antinatal person that refused her child alsorts of food, but he just pinched it from the other children.

Evening all.
Not caught up on thread so i hope all are ok.
Toddlers this morning and not much done this afternoon. I was feeling tired, cold and a bit sick. Woke in the night feeling sick too. Feel ok now. Will try and get an early nite. Mickey had me up before 6! Worse than the kids.

Bewilderbeast · 05/03/2008 22:24

evening all

done

ds picked up from granny's
got bits from supermarket
tea made
dw loaded and accidentally put on with laundry liquid in, bit of a disaster but never mind
brioche bread and butter pudding made
ds shoved in shower with all his clothes on due to disasterous nappy - closely followed by the high chair which was a vicim of said nappy
shitty clothes put on to wash
recipes snipped from 3 months worth of cookery magazines and the remains put in the recycling
washing up done
chelsea buns are currently rising on the radiator

the kitchen is still not clean though

sleepycat of you getting chance to read - good luck with the scan
waves to tort, sorry you're feeling poorly
Congrats Luda I've lost a bit lately but when I went to hospital on monday they weighed me and calculated my body mass and basically I am obese. I'm a reasonable height size 14/16 and I knew I was chubby but obese
FGS very impressed with how much you've done today
