I need stain help!

Help! I have no idea what this stain is but I have tried vanish stain remover as well as bicarbonate of soda and neither made a difference. I don’t know what I’m doing so any advice gratefully received, it doesn’t look particularly nice in the pic but this skirt is one of the few things I still feel good wearing after baby number 2 so I’d love to get it out somehow. Thanks!

Soak overnight in a cold solution of soda crystals and oxygen bleach dissolved in water, then wash at max 40 degrees

Fairy washing up liquid is brill for removing stains but not sure if it'll work if it's already been washed.

I'd get some vanish on it, half scoop of vanish and a bit of water mix into a paste, leave it on for 5 mins and wash.

Thank you!

Miscellar water takes most stains out for me. I use the garnier one for taking out stains all over the house on carpets, upholstery etc. game changer!

Ah that’s good to know about the dairy liquid! I’m afraid I did the vanish paste and left it five mins but it didn’t do a thing! Whatever it is is very hard to shift 😣

Could you have washed the skirt on a hot setting ? Some stains only show up after time or heat, fruit juices for instance can change colour . That looks as though a liquid or semi liquid splashed onto the skirt, it also looks possibly oily, eg like car oil. So think back to what could have got on it, eg sun cream, juice, or could it be something oily from a park bench, car, beach ?
Really helps to have some idea what the stain is as you need to wash oily things a bit hotter but things like blood get set into the fabric by heat.

I initially thought it was a muddy/sandy splash from playing by the river with my kids but then when it didn’t come out I wasn’t so sure. Sun cream would have been around but I don’t think it squirted like that on my skirt… sure it isn’t blood, does look a bit oily to me now but can’t think when oil would have splashed like that. It’s a weird one!

Worth trying sunshine - leave it out in bright sunshine for a few hours. Won’t work on oily stains but good for food stains.

Oily river water a possibility then, try working detergent into the stain, washing up liquid or any liquid detergent, really work it into the fabric with your fingers, rinse then do it again, then wash with stain remover .

Thank you!
