Hello. I know there are lots of threads about Hoovers, but I really just would like some links to ones that people think work, as there's so many makes and models.

We have hard floors downstairs, carpets upstairs. Two small kids and one on the way - don't have the energy or wherewithal to be dragging around a corded one around.

I know a cordless one might not be 100% great on the carpet, but what is the best one for it? Happy to spend a bit if it will last and do a decent job.

So - best cordless hoover links please!

@Spannersintheworks I have a Bush cordless. It's bagless, I bought it on eBay for ~£50? I whizz around the flat with it every morning or when I can remember!

It's deafening and only lasts ~10 mins on full power but it is wall mounted with a charging cable so it's always on charge unless I'm using it.

It's cheapo but it's great!

Henry Quick is good. Excellent battery life and has a pod to make emptying easy and mess free. Better than my cordless Dyson on those counts - but the Dyson is better at hoovering up pet hair and bigger 'bits'.

Another vote for Henry Quick! The suction is shockingly good, especially in boost mode. The pods are great too because the waste is compacted so much longer between empties and when you empty it, you just remove the pod and put it in the bin, so it's a clean process compared with bag less.
They do a Pet version but the only difference between that and the regular one, is the Pet tool which can be bought for the regular Quick, for £50. Yet the price increase for the pet version of the Quick is considerably more than £50!

Ooh I missed these! We got a plug in in the end, but I'll have a look at the quick as our cordless is still broken
