Does anyone actually get dressed to SHOES!!

Trying to do the flylady thing (not going too well, but I have great plans!) In the book she really goes on about Getting Dressed To Shoes. I don't wear shoes in the house and I like guests to take their shoes off in my house, I just don't like the idea of trampling loads of dirt from outside around. Wondering does anyone do this and does it help?

I never wear shoes in the house either. Normally bare fot at home. Dh and Dd are the same.

Sometimes wear shoes indoors sometimes don't, but am a bit at people not allowing shoe wear in the house! If I called to visit would you make me leave my shoes on the doorstep?

I always wear shoes in the house (also have wooden floors) so I can go in/out to garden easily (dustbin, washing line, play with the kids, find DH etc).

In summer I wear flip flops / crocs. In winter trainers.

Does everyone "fix their face" according to Flylady's advice?

kutilputil · 13/03/2008 00:00

no, cant do that, dont see the point!

I wear my birkies inthe house, hate slippers and I am not walking about all day in outdoor shoes on.

I take it more that you should really get up and make yourself presentable rather than staying in pjs or putting on nogging joggies.

I just can't see the point in mopping the floors so they're lovely and clean, going outside to put the rubbish out then coming in and walking all over nice clean floor with all the muck from outside on your shoes. And what about if you have carpets you trample in all the dirt.
I read somewhere some study of what is on carpets and among other things was dog faeces probably from outside then trodden into carpet. Not very nice, at least you can mop wooden floors.
