Does anyone know about fridge freezers??

I’m renting an apartment and there is an inbuilt fridge smallish with a freezer compartment at the top. The bottom of the freezer but top of the fridge (if that makes sense) always has ice droplets all over the roof. The back of the fridge has got frost on it too. I wouldn’t even say that the fridge temperature dial is set that high. Stuff is cold but for example drinks I’ve had out of friends and families fridges are very cold, mine aren’t majorly ice cold. I’ve tried turning temperature up and down to test it out and same thing happens. I’ve cleaned out the little hole at the back many times so that water doesn’t build up. Since I turned the temperature from 4-5 on the dial it’s now collecting ice in the freezer door and outside the actual door area. My landlord/agent will probably take about 6 months to send someone to take a look. I’ve put some photos below has anyone experienced this before? The fridge is always wet too if that makes a difference. Can’t figure out if the issue is the fridge or the freezer.

A fridge thermometer would help, so you know for certain it is too warm and therefore unsafe. Only a few pounds to buy.

I had a fridge that built up ice on the back and my thermometer confirmedit was too warm. The repair guy came out had a quick look and said it wasn't economical to repair, so they replaced. Luckily my landlord had an insurance policy to cover this, so all quick and easy.

That’s interesting yes got a thermometer around 6 months ago. Reading is around 5 degrees. I wonder 💭 if this is okay not even that cold inside obviously probably safe for food but Ideally would like my drinks to be colder.

Fridges should operate around 4 degrees so 5 is pretty okay.

My thermometer shows 5 as too warm, but up to 4.5 degrees is ok. I prefer 2 or 3.

The settings on the dial are not the temperature. The higher the number on the dial usually means the colder it runs. However, as you already have a thermometer, you can judge this yourself.

Different areas of the fridge have differing temps. The door is usually warmest and towards the back of the lower shelves are usually colder.

(You should certainly be more concerned that the fridge is cold enough to keep your food safe, than chilling your drinks. Particularly meat, fish and dairy products.)

I’ve left it a few days and can confirm all the back is now thick with frost (fridge) water all dripping from the top. Still the same, temperature is 5 degrees. Asked Landlord to come and take a look as somethings obviously wrong.
