Ruined composite sink. Help

We have a very large white composite sink (abnormal dimensions, relevant later...) which about 2yrs ago, we hired a cleaner and she made it look virtually brand new.

It later transpired she had used a really abrasive cleaner, so for about 3 weeks it looked fab, then we realised she'd taken off all the protective coating and now it was just staining.

We'd already let the cleaner go, or I would have said something. But now we're stuck.

The sink is larger than a standard sink and it's really hard to find a replacement that's under about £700 and not incredibly ugly.

What can I clean it with to get it looking half decent again, can I re seal it? What about painting it with enamel? Can we do that over composite?

No idea on coating it sorry but can you swap it for a non-composite sink? I haven't come across one yet that doesn't stain.

We can, at a big expense because it's a non standard size, hence looking at any way to save it.

A quick Google brought up this site - it talks about restoring a composite sink, and applying a sealer, so it does sound as if it is possible.

Hope this helps, @TwinsPlusAnotherOne.
