3 minute tasks

I love all the random tips on this board so thought I’d start my own thread in search of more.

Whilst the tea is brewing I like completing 3 minute tasks, such as emptying the dishwasher, loading the washing machine or hoovering around the dog bed.

Give me more three minute tasks!

Change lightbulbs/batteries that need it
Wipe down kitchen sides
Descale the sink/taps
Clean the windows of one room (inside)
Wipe down a fridge shelf
Check used by dates in a cupboard
Wipe the tops of X cupboards
Fluff the sofa cushions
Or strip them to be washed

Love things like this! I'm a huge fan of efficiency and productivity to get things done!

I’m adding these! Love it.

I also wipe down the sinks!

I’ll have to start drinking more tea

Some of these may take me more than 3 minutes, but I love the concept - great thread OP thank you.

You’re right they may! With two toddlers I’ve taken the approach recently that it’s better to half do a job than not at all.

Very traditional but I feel like this could be done in my house!

Run up the stairs to get something but have an existential crisis "Why am I here? What is my purpose?"

Put a load of laundry in/ take out a load of laundry and add to the mountain of clean clothes.

When I'm ironing watching live tv I use the adverts as a stopwatch to do quick jobs.

Damp microfibre cloth (hot soapy water) over the kitchen cupboard doors (dust trap ledges) and handles.

Feather dust horizontal surfaces in one room

Swish over the toilet and handbasin.

Wipe over all light switches.

Wipe over all door handles.

Wipe down bannisters.

Hoover one room, set up hoover in doorway of next room ready to go.

Dyson hand held hoover to swish over hard floors
