I got an email from someone today passing on some great tips - if you pin a safety pin inside the seam of whatever clothes are static-y, it apparently earths them. Try it - it suggests a pin in the seam of your skirt to reduce cling and in trousers too.

do you have a tumble drier? use a bounce sheet (or is that on a par with evil fabric conditioner?)

ComeOVeneer · 20/02/2008 18:44

Try these.

Don't use dryer sheets as they allow leaching of harmful chemicals into your skin from clothing and can also make the flame redardent nature of clothes such as children's pjamas ineffective.

Put body lotion on before you wear them. Stops it every time.

Oooh and that was another thing - if you use dryer sheets, you have to clean your filter every six months or so - not just clean off the fluff, but scrubb with soap and hot water. Aparently the fabric conditioner clogs the mesh of the filter (you can't se it) so that the water flows around it not through it, and where it get hot, it overheats and can cause fires. Scrub it so that the water can flow thrugh the mesh.

I don't have a dryer.

COV - i had no idea

they are more evil than fabric conditioner

have seen those in Lakeland catalogue too - will have to get some

ComeOVeneer · 20/02/2008 18:49

If you want to use dryer sheets opt for an all natural one like this
