That whole at the back of the washing machine drawer

How do you clean it without shredding your hand to pieces?!

I have a Beko machine (if that makes any difference)

Can I pour toilet cleaner down there, scrub what I can see and leave it for 15 mins then do a test wash before using it for clothes? Will that work?

Thanks in advance my hand and arm look like I've been attacked by Edward ScissorHands

Spray with bleach, use a bendy bottle brush and then flush it though, (keep the washing machine soo closed)

You lift out the drawer (pull upward to release the catch then out) then get a long bottle brush to scrub around a bit.

You don't?

If mine looks a bit manky I've sprayed a bit of bleach in (maybe twice ever) when I'm about do a white wash. It just looks after it's self otherwise.

Current washing machine still going strong at 8yo.

Is this really a thing?

Just saw my typo in the title

Thank you, I have been using a squidgy sponge from the dishes but it's not doing the job. Neither is a sponge on the end of a wooden spoon and I have tried other utensils to reach but will try a bottle brush tomorrow with a glove maybe

Mine definitely needs done @Iudncuewbccgrcb
I used cheap powder instead of my usual pods a while back and ever since need to take the drawer out every few washes as the fabric softener doesn't drain properly. Now I've had a look it needs scrubbed properly
It's also letting off a smell 3-4 mins after door locking when the water first goes in and I think it's related too
