Storage

I'm a single mum living in a 3 bedroom house currently, I have 3 children and due to their ages have my toddler sharing my room.

It's not feasible for me to move currently.

My challenge is, storing all my toddlers toys. My lounge is currently like a flipping nursery atm with sit on toys and all sorts as I have nowhere else to store them and I have tried to streamline them/ decluttering as much as I can. Does anyone have any ideas on storage that is appropriate for a lounge area but where I can put all of this away at the end of the day so I can switch of from it all!! We are talking teddies, building blocks, books, general games/ boxes. I do have some storage but I feel
It all looks abit untidy still/ cluttered and doesn't feel like somewhere to relax!

TIA

You have children, it's ok to have a messy living room.
Stackable boxes might work, or a toy box, or a Kallax style unit.

Donate or sell toys no longer played with.

Kallax is definitely the way to go.
do you have instagram? If you search the kallax# there’s thousands of ideas

Thankyou, I've had a look at kallax, some great ideas.

We've always used kallax so you can just chuck everything in a box at the end of the day.

There's usually quite a few on Facebook marketplace too.

@talawalawoo , try posting a Wanted post on freegle and freecycle for the unit and for the baskets/boxes/inserts, and if you have transport, look in neighbouring areas.

Kallax and be judicious on what you keep. Limit everything to one box - one box for teddies, one for Lego, one for trains, one for play food/household stuff. The cheap fabric boxes hold by far the most. But sometimes less is more. My children played a lot more puzzles when they had 3 to choose from than when they had a whole kallax box rammed full of them. Personally I like having a little Billy shelf or something with just a few bits they can see. Really helps engagement without being too much in your face kiddy stuff. If you're overwhelmed with it, your toddler might be too, a bit.

Get a second hand sideboard that can act as storage and a TV unit
