Window residue/marks - help! (Photo included)

will add pics to post as I can’t add to main body - Just moved home and the windows look like this - it’s some kind of residue / hard water from the building works (new build). It’s only on one side of the building, and I’ve tried several different ways to try and remove the marks (HG scale away, stardrops miracle window/glass cleaner, and white distilled vinegar) none of which made any difference at all.

does anyone have any tips on how I can get rid?

thanks in advance!

Having trouble uploading my photos. Everytime I add them, MN gives me an error message ‘to continue please correct the above errors’ - anyone know how to get around this please?

What about a kitchen cream cleaner, Astonish oven cleaning paste or a magic sponge block?

You might also try Barkeepers Friend (a powder) mixed to a paste with cold water and rubbed on.

It looks very much like limescale.
doesn’t really matter what it is, if you can feel it in any way raised with your fingernail, try a glass scraper. Scrape all over the marks then clean as normal

Magic sponge?

Thank you! Is there no chance scraping could damage the glass?

Thanks for the suggestions - will purchase some of the advised cleaning materials and update when I have some success!

Please don’t use magic sponges on your windows, they are like extremely fine sand paper and can leave swirly scratch marks. They are made of an abrasive material.

A glass scraper used correctly, will be ok.
