Deodorant on clothes

Does anyone have any tips for removing ingrained deodorant from underarms of clothes??
They are worn once then go in the laundry so it's not like days worth of deo is building up but clearly my wash isn't good enough to get it all out.

I don't know but watching with interest. I'd also like a solution that doesn't involve making a 'paste' with bicarbonate of soda as that = an unholy mess.

Do you use a stick deodorant?
I find washing doesn't remove the white greasy residue or the smell actually if using a stick one.

Yep we both do as never have time to let the roll on's dry.
I've found an elbow grease bar helps but it's such a faff scrubbing and rinsing multiple times ☹️

I use a white vinegar spray if the stains are fairly fresh. Leave for 30 minutes or so then wash as normal. However I have recently tried the bicarbonate of soda paste (agree it’s very messy) and it helped but didn’t remove completely. So then I sprayed with white vinegar, threw some bicarbonate of soda over the top, then sprayed with the vinegar again. It fizzed a bit, then I washed it. Removed quite a bit but stains were quite ingrained but it definitely improved things.

Also watching with interest as have same problem.
I even scrub the inside of partners shirts pits before putting in washing machine now but it's like the stick residue permanently binds to the cotton fibres. Prefer stick deodorant to spray which stinks up the house, so would be sad to admit defeat and swap

To update, i bought the spray mentioned above and after the first go i'm happy with it, maybe because my dresses are a thinner cotton but it's got almost all of the old stuff out, also removed some of the old stuff from husbands tshirt, left it on the area for 20 minutes then washed as normal. Will be doing a 'deo' wash another day where all my husbands tshirts will be treated and give the product longer to work.
Thank you @dementedpixie

I use it on the armpits of my sportswear each time I wear them and it stops build up.

I just ordered a new pack of them too. Glad they are working for you Smile

I do the same. I don’t ‘deliberately’ make a paste. Spray vinegar on first, then chuck a bit of bicarbonate on and spray again with vinegar which makes a very satisfying fizzing noise. Rub it in a bit then wash with biological washing powder (not liquid).
