Mission

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 12:45

Right, I've mopped the floors and put a load of stuff back in its right place. Why do I have to be such a hoarder? I just can't seem to clear out the junk
A load of washing is in the wm, I may even try to hang it out on the line, it's a lovely day here today.
I have an old school friend (?kind-of friend anyway, she wasn't always very nice to me and I can't let those days go..) coming round this eve to keep me company while dh is out...I'd really rather have a long soak in the bath and an early night tbh, not really in the mood for company, but I don't see her often and so it'll prob be fun really.

Need to get upstairs tidied up a bit next and would like to turn my attention to the utility room again but am not sure I can face it....

Lmccrean · 06/02/2008 12:52

Hi everyone.

Havent been about in a few days (I think??!)

Was working yesterday and out last night til um 3.30am! so didnt get any housework done.

Today I had another dentist appointment, and at 1.15 gotta go collect dd from school early for speech therapy reassessment.

Only light housework today - will do

Mission
one more load laundry
meal plan/ write shopping list for market tomorrow morning
the just play with dd rest of day as havent really spent any time with her since saturday cause of work.

she was in A&E on monday for xrays on both feet (after jumping of kitchen counter in bare feet onto concrete floor) All clear, but still in some discomfort, so board games and some craft set out for this afternoon

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 14:15

EHM it's the same friend who didn't like my wedding outfit last week. An alternative outfit arrived today - black and cream, very nice and quite classy Very differnt to the fun, colourful one. Not sure which to decide on now...may ask a more supportive friend for an opinion on the two.

Yadda/Saga hello! Happy MN birthday! ROFL at your thread

All rooms visable to visitors are nice and tidy
Spare room and utility room are a disgrace Must be strict and get them sorted soon.

gibberish · 06/02/2008 14:19

dd2 been to her riding lesson. Got to hoover, dust, swish and swipe bathrooms, put on another load of washing and write shopping list before taking dd3 and dd4 to dancing.

Afternoon Ladies

No flying done today. I am still not right at all. Boys are OK though and causing trouble and mayhem.

DS1 was a star at the hospital - he had blood taken adn was facinated, no crying or anything. The nurse was amazed he was so good, but then I love blood and stuff.

They are going to test for antibodies and imnuo-globlins (I think), want to check that his vacinations have been effective and also that his body is effective at fighting the chest virus' and infections that he gets, as we are strugling to see why he is like this and asymptomatic the rest of the time. Hw goes from a fit and well toddler to a little one who is wheezing, recessing and struggling for breath at the first sign of any cold.

Anyway enough of us. I am going to ring SIL to see if Baby L is coming home

FunkyGlassSlipper · 06/02/2008 16:46

Not done any house work,.

Just wanted to say Gibberish - thanks for sharing. I'm going to look at our blinds later.

Bianca - some friends arent friends at all and serve no purpose than to make us miserable. They are toxic (good description) and as such you need to minimise exposure to them

FunkyGlassSlipper · 06/02/2008 16:47

Oh and Ruby, I know you are deserate, hence my gushing this morning. Hope it was at a suitable level

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 17:22

I know, this friend is a strange one; we're friends on her terms mostly. From time to time she's great and I think I've been bad to mis-judge her but then she does something thoughtless and I wonder why I bother...

Thanks for the outfit comments Ruby I'm almost 34, not sure if that makes me young or not [ I do think the 1st outfit looks very different on - the skirt really doesn't look as floral on and it does in the link I showed here... I'm terrible at shopping, seriously lacking in self-confidence and have no idea as to what a "young" outfit would look like..?
Loved the nappy cake btw - fab

TMH any news on baby L?

TheMadHouse · 06/02/2008 17:29

Gibb I just wanted you to know that I have just been round and cut all the cord on our venteians downstairs short (even though they are not looped - I think long cords are just as dangerous) and whilst DH is bathing the boys tonight I will do all the upstairs blinds

FunkyGlassSlipper · 06/02/2008 17:32

bianca - i missed link. please do again and i will give opinion

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 17:49

skirt
Brown top
and a shrug but not this one, it's this colour but has shorter sleeves and sequins on

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 17:53

2nd choice is
skirt
a cream scoop neck top and chunky necklace

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 17:55

Going off both outfits now tbh, feeling frumpy and stupid How come other people can dress themselves without such stress?!

sagacious · 06/02/2008 18:03

I like both!
The safe choice is number 2 I suppose (and I really like the necklace.. quite tempted myself)

Well just got rid of ds's friend so hopefully I can calm them down from full on ninja fighting machines to in pj's drinking milk and looking edible

What are the odds ?

damewashalot · 06/02/2008 18:07

Well I think they both look good, really like the second skirt

I guess I depends on your build to a certain degree but I would wear both outfits and I'm 33 if that helps at all? Would prefer the plain skirt but I'm really not flowery.

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 18:07

I'm trying to move away from safe yadda I was trying to introduce some colour to my wardrobe...

The necklace is staying regardless of the outfit I choose for the wedding, it's really wearable I think

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 18:09

I'm a size 14 if that makes any difference

damewashalot · 06/02/2008 18:15

I was thinking more height wise eg I'm 5'10" but my mum is 5" so couldn't wear the same style skirts IYSWIM. I love the shape of the second skirt but it may not be as flattering if you were a 16/18. Not sure I'm helping much here and I don't know what your "friend" said about them. But I am trying

sagacious · 06/02/2008 18:20

I'm a 14 (on a good day .. rather too many vats of wine have meant my 12's are relegated to the back of the cupboard and my 16's are looking increasingly comfortable)

What sort of brown top for option 1

(am aware this turning into a style thread ! )

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 18:22

OK, I'm a 14, 5ft 7, lost 2 1/2 stone recently. I have hips and a bust and am s l o w l y finding my waist again

We're going to a family wedding (dhs extended family) where what I wear/how I look will be judged by certain members of the family. Haven't seen most of the family on dhs side since our wedding nearly 10 years ago.

Would probably wear my brown boots with the first outfit and I have some sweet little black and cream embroidered pumps which would go with the 2nd.

All totally unFLY related, appologies to those who come on to discuss cleaning lol

TheMadHouse · 06/02/2008 18:24

As I said the first time I like the colourful one, but then that is me I am not into black at all as we have a white cat.

Now that is fly related is it not

No answer at SIL's so not sure re Baby L

BiancaCastafiore · 06/02/2008 18:25

My thoughts exactly yadda

this under shrug - this is similar to the cream top I have for 2nd outfit
