We have a nutri builit that chops nuts , but does not make things like hummus ( not wet enough.
we have a small food processor thing that can make hummus , but whizzes veg into mostly mush ( apart from garlic amd ginger which it does well).
its a mini chopper .
when i look at recipe's they often say put in the food processor…
is there one machine that can ( most importantly) choo veg , maybe have other functions like making hummus , blend sauces ..
i really need a simple reliable one .. does this exist and if so .. what is it ?!!!
i have adhd and i canr use a machine with lits of parts / they wd be lost / or i wd lise intrest if it wasnt a quick to use machine .. so thought I had better stress that.
( a slow cooker is my best ever thing as i cant walk away and burn the pan !)

Or a good small (sharpenable) knife for hard chopping, though I have a good way of treating root veg that negates all that peeling and difficult chopping; you steam them whole after washing them. The skin comes off very easily (leaving the vitamin content which is right under the skin of the veg. For houmous\smoothie making, a good quality handheld blender (I use a moulinex). This is fantastic for soups too. I have a lovely Magimix machine sitting unused for years, sadly, on the shelf since owning the above.

Another tip for easy veg prep. for pumpkins etc. Just make quite a few holes in the skin, then bake them whole! It works well because if you want to cook it up later, then test it for hardness, or for softness when you want to eat it straight away, test with a sharp implement.

I have a Bosch food processor with lots of add ons. Mine is a few years old but this is similar one.

The discs I have grate cheese, slice veg and one makes chips - they are short curled chip but still chips.

It also has discs for things like cream - it will whip cream in seconds.

It has a really fast motor which makes a huge difference.

I have a KitchenAid Food Processor 3.1 litre + a smaller bowl.
The grating blades adjust up/down to vary thickness .

I have an Oxo Good Grips Mandoline but I was very clumsy using it and it didn't end well Blush

Oh and the KitchenAid has a plastic box to keep the attachments in.
The box is on top of the fridge , the KitchenAid lives out of the worktop where I can admire it daily .
