low suds washing liquid

we usually use bio powder for whites, t towels, bedding, Persil or Fairy washing liquid for clothes, Ecover liquid wash for delicates or sweaters, Persil. non bio. powder for heavier washing, jeans, kit, etc.

We now live in a very hard water area. I measure the liquid, use hardly anything, clothes come out clean but I have to re rinse often as cannot be rid of the bibbles.

Can anyone please recommend a low suds washing liquid?

We have a Miele washing machine, a couple of years old.
I’m now wondering if I should be applying a longer wash/rinse cycle.

I apologise if this has been covered, but, is there a non animal vegan friendly rinse aid anyone could recommend please?

We have a redhead in the family with sensitive skin.

TIA

You could try substituting some of the washing powder for washing soda, but I'm not sure that is gentle on skin.

We had a similar problem with nappies. Modern machines are very good at using less water but, I thought, at the expense of rinsing power at times. Keep the machine clean with maintenance washes. Run an empty wash and see how many bubbles you get. You could also try using vinegar in place of fabric conditioner, but IMO you need to use a decent slug of it. A capful in a whole wash is not going to achieve much. Lastly you could try doing a shorter wash. It sounds a bit backwards but sometimes the quick wash uses more energy and water than the normal wash, and that extra heat and water is exactly what you need to rinse the clothes a bit better.

You could also try a different temp. Machines tend to rinse with cold anyway to keep running costs down but it's worth a try.
