Baggy duvet cover

I love a nice crisp duvet cover. After multiple washes they all start feeling floppy and baggy and I feel really uncomfortable in bed. How do you fix this? Starch? Boil wash?
100% cotton covers, no fabric softener.
Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks

Buy a new cover. They get worn out eventually from washing and that’s what’s happening.

The cotton fibre is slightly twisted which gives it it’s crispness. But repeated washing causes friction and smooths it out. And they do wear out eventually.

I hate the thought of throwing a pristine cover out because it’s a bit baggy, I was just hoping there was a more environmentally friendly fix.

Could you sew the sides in?

I was wondering that (although I’m not great on the sewing machine) but it’s not that it’s a bad fit, just that it’s no longer stiff fabric iyswim.
