Vacuum recommendations

We currently have 3 vacuums at home, a bit overkill I know but they have different jobs.

A GTech cordless for quickly zipping around and spot cleaning. Dyson upright for proper cleaning, especially the carpets. Henry that comes out for the really messy jobs, been a godsend during recent renovations.

The Dyson has just died after 6yrs and we need a decent replacement. What would you recommend? Is Miele the best?

Can't you just use the Henry?

Cynderella · 07/11/2022 23:19

Could you just use the Henry? I don't like them, but if you do ...

I've moved from Miele Cat and Dog to Shark because 1) I like the lift off function for stairs and under beds 2) the anti hair wrap works for my hair that always wrapped around brushes 3) it's bagless and while the small dust container is inconvenient, it means it's emptied frequently.

There are loads of these threads - lots of people love Mieles, Sharks, Sebos, Dysons ... many haters too.

Thanks. The Henry is 15yrs old, heavy and smells. Good for building rubble but not regular vacuuming.
I think we've decided on the Miele cat and dog.

I've just ordered the Miele blizzard cat and dog. I'm hoping it's good!

We have 2 Meiles and a Dyson. Miele cylinder all the way!

I have had a Henry for well over 20 years. It's a great machine. Yes it has a distinctive smell but guess what? When I switch it off it stops 😂.
