Great pillows that last?

Evening 😀

I’m looking for recommendations for a new pillow (happy to try a couple).

I’m a side sleeper, typically use two pillows and previously had a lovely soft goose down, but they’ve gone ever so floppy and I’m not sure they’d give me the support I’m looking for now even if I bought new.

I need something reasonably firm but soft and cushiony at the same time.

I’m tempted by a memory foam, I’m not a hot sleeper so that issue with memory foam should be okay. They look a bit hard though?

Any suggestions/ brands to look at would be much appreciated.

Bamboo Pillows might be what you are looking for. Memory foam covered with a bamboo case. Firm but soft if that makes any sense!

I’d love to know the answer to this too. I have a Tempur cloud pillow that I don’t love but it’s ok. Looking for new pillows for my teen daughter and sick of buying ones that go lumpy or flat after
a few months. Looking at the Simba one but keen for other suggestions.

Also looking for the holy grail of pillows.

I have feather ones I got custody of in a split but they do go flat u less beaten up regularly.

I bought Sealy Geltex pillows 4 years ago and they are amazing. Expensive but 100% worth it. Amazing support without feeling too firm.

I got a Jysk - Wellpur Vikna - memory foam pillow - expensive but I bought it in one of their sakes - it’s current reduced by more than 50%. I always found pillows flattened too quickly and would get neck pain. I also dude-sleep and found myself constantly waking up with one arm asleep as I tried to prop up my head by putting my hand under the pillow during my sleep.
Decided to try memory foam. This has held its thickness well, there’s some special cooling cover on it too. But I also liked that you can adjust the amount of foam to suit yourself. So I have a bag of spare shredded foam - even if it does flatten in time, I will be able to add more back in. I did find it odd for the first few nights as there isn’t as much give - supportive rather than squishy like a normal pillow - and no more pins and needles when I wake up.

I got some from The Woolroom, I've had them years and still as good as new.

Apologies for my typos- their ‘sales’ not ‘sakes’! And ‘side-sleep’ NOT ‘dude-sleep’ !!😂

Following.

I regularly find the perfect pillow, then it goes flat/lumpy a few months later.

I've tried various memory foam ones with no luck, they're so hard! Bought an Emma one where you can change the layers for height and softness but none of the options were comfortable.

We have Baavet wool ones, you can buy different thicknesses and a bag of extra wool to add more if you need to (I found after a year it was useful to add more - simply unzip the cover and add!). If I get too hot (summer), you simply turn the pillow over and the bottom side is lovely and cool again.

I’m a sidesleeper. I like dunlopillo latex ones.
They come in different thicknesses (or used to). I sleep with two - a thick one and a thin one to get the right height for my neck.

This company supplies hotel quality everything. I'm a side sleeper. Scrunch up my pillows so prefer feathers and down. I do bash them up in the morning though.

Can absolutely recommend pandalondon.com/product/bamboo-memory-foam-pillow/ for a side sleeper. You'll only need 1 pillow and they are fantastic. Have completely saved my neck. If you have access to Costco they are cheaper there.

Dunlopillo!

Would you mind saying which one you get? I sleep on my front, so need fairly firm but not too poofy.

Also a side sleeper. I have a goosedown pillow on top of my latex pillow. The latex gives me the height & support I need; the goosedown gives me the "aaah" factor without adding any significant height.
They'll be expensive but if you look after them they'll last for years & years, especially the latex ones.

I'm a Marriott pillow fan. Last ones I bought were £45 each. Six years ago. They've doubled in price
