Parquet flooring

We have been in a rental property with parquet flooring now for just over a year. I hoover and use the flash mop daily and mop with the traditional mop and bucket with bleach once a week.

The floor is discusting. It's sticky, got things stuck to it and in-between the cracks is awful. I hate the floor, it's so hard to keep clean!

Please someone tell me a way to deep clean it properly. I tried today with a cloth and a bowl of water with zoflora in and a bowl of hot water to rince the cloth again but didn't get very far!

To add the parquet flooring was badly damaged when we moved in, marks, scratches and dents. I just feel like everything sticks to it so easily and it never looks clean

I hate to say it but if you have bits stuck to it etc then you’re obviously not cleaning it properly. Do you use hot water when you wash it? Have you tried a steam mop (although obviously be very careful with parquet)

you shouldn’t be putting bleach onto it. That will damage it.

Mopping daily is far too much and once a week with bleach .Bleach should never be used on a wood floor! I have parquet flooring that only ever gets a damp (not wet)clean with floor cloth and is still perfect apart from a few scratches after 20 years .I think you may have ruined the floor .Isit maybe lifting?

You mustn't use a traditional mop and bucket on it or bleach!

Sweep the floor, then A proper wooden floor cleaner with a micro fibre mop. Never get it too wet.

You're making it sticky by putting so much moisture on it - leave it alone for a couple of weeks other than sweeping it

Maybe try using a soft dry brush to bring up any crumbs then Hoover them up? I would echo pp. you really shouldn't be wetting a wooden floor so much or putting bleach on it. Why do you need to bleach it? I don't think I have ever used bleach on my floors.
