We need to replace our washer-dryer - I've finally accepted that the dryer bit isn't going to work again and I cannot cope with drying everything on radiators all the time! Had a quick google on washer-dryers and am a bit overwhelmed by all the different options.

So please, if you are pleased with your washer-dryer and would recommend it, please tell me the make and model so I can stop trawling through them all - it's making my head hurt! Don't want to spend more than £350... (cheaper would be better!

Now looking at a Bosch AGAIN- very undecided between one of those or an AEG. Really can't afford a Miele at over £800 and won't have space for a separate dryer.

Update for those who like updates - went to Comet and bought new washer dryer, hoorah! Paid £360ish for a Zanussi (can't remember model but it's a 1600 which I HOPE will work out really well - being delivered on Friday. Stood and looked longingly at the Miele (priced at £999.99) but DH was unmoved by my puppy dog expression... Anyway, thank you wonderful mumsnetters for help and advice.

PS Pavlov, your post made me laugh - imagining you trying to sabotage your machine in order to get lovely new replacement.

have which? guide in front of me.

the 3 they recommend are

AEG - Electrolux L16830 £530 (score 65)
JohnLewis JLWD1408 £499 (score 62)
Miele WT2670 £1000 (score 67)

One otehr machinr had a score in the 60s... it was hotpointBWD129 £385, but is NOT recommended, probably due to hotpoints poor brand reliabilty.

To anyone still undecided, DON'T buy an Indesit, my Mum has one and it is utter crap. Takes about 2 hours and the clothes are still damp.
