Washing, well drying really, an Oodie?

I bought some for my family recently.

However, have just noticed the washing instructions are to dry flat rather than tumble or line dry. Child's Oodie has been drying for nearly two days now.

How are people drying them? I've now put it over a wooden clothes horse in an attempt to speed things up.

If you have some dry weather, I'd put it out on the line to dry. Can't see what damage it's going to do if it's not soaking wet.

I think I've tumble dried mine once. Other times it's been thrown over a airer and rotated a few times. We've only recently got a washing line, but I think I'd put mine on the line now.

In rainy, cold weather: wash when finished then put again on a spinning cycle.
Then either airing cupboard or simply drape over washing line.

I've always line dried mine and it's fine (and I never read the washing instructions Blush)

Another one not reading instructions and chucking it on the line. In Perth so getting dry not much of a problem. Dd is very good at just putting it out for an airing on a bright and breezy day to freshen up. Just for an hour is good though we do more if possible.

We have two and they are always tumble dried and are totally fine.
The cuffs need a bit longer to dry but that's it.

I agree with the previous poster saying an extra spin. I find it makes a huge difference, especially with things that hold on to water like towels and Oodies. Leave for at least 20 minutes after the wash finishes and then do an extra spin and you can hear how much extra water comes out.

Thanks for the tips everyone!

I've put it on the line but in winter I'll probably just try the tumble dryer on cool setting to finish it (and an extra spin cycle!)

I tumble dry ours all the time and they come out as good as new. Fluffy and cosy! My youngest will wait at the drier sometimes and then put on to experience a toasty hug!

I do an extra spin in washing machine first though as they do hold onto water. And in the summer/dry outside, they might go on the line for a bit but always fluffed up at the end in the drier.
