Do Not Tumble Dry labels

I have a load of wet clothes with Do Not Tumble Dry labels. DS PE kit, tops, trousers, blazers. It is raining outside and too warm and too expensive to put the heating on the dry them. There is no airing cupboard, so they are hung over chairs in the kitchen. We have very little cupboard space so nowhere to store a laundry rack - we don't have one.

This time of year the clothes tend to take ages to try and end up smelling musty.

How would you recommend we dry them?

Buy an airer that folds up flat and store it under the bed or behind the sofa when not using it. Also if you can afford it get a dehumidifier, they make so much difference and stop that damp smell.

A folding heated airer is a good option. You can fold them up after use and slide them behind the sofa, or underneath if it's a sofa on legs. Same goes for a bed.
Just remember to ventilate any room you use them in.

Do the washing on a dry day.

What Pinkywoo said. I have a very small house and no dryer. I have two large drying racks that fold up and are kept behind a door. Use them outside when it’s dry and inside with a dehumidifier when it’s too wet/cold.

This. I know it's difficult with school uniform and timings but you need to keep an eagle eye on the weather forecast and pounce.

Get an over door airer from wilko. Hangs on the back of a door
