Is having a cleaner stressful?

I want to get a cleaner for our small home as we are time poor and have suddenly had an increase in income we can access. I hate cleaning and we would like to sell our property so I was hoping it would alleviate some of the work. However I've never had experience of having a cleaner and I have no idea of what to expect. This is already stressing me out. I wondered if having a cleaner does alleviate the stress in your own home? Or is it more stressful having to keep things tidy for them?

I have a regular cleaner once a week. cherrytopservices.com My life is no longer stressful. And the house is always clean and tidy. She also does my ironing too.

We started out with agency cleaners but there were issues with e.g. leaving windows open when they left. Changed agency, then moved to a self employed cleaner, who was fine at first but then got less professional. We realized she was more stress than she was worth.

Spent some money on robot mop, robot Hoover, a spray mop, a few fluffy dusters, and shedloads of microfibre cloths and wet wipes. Water softener (no more limescale grabbing and hanging onto all the grot). Bought a delivery pass and so don't spend any time doing a supermarket shop.

We managed to keep the house looking ok after that.

I started off finding it really stressful making sure every surface was clear and the place was tidy. Frankly I left her with almost nothing to do.

we have her here for quite a few hours so as time has gone on we have found an equilibrium. She is absolutely wonderful. If she has time she will tidy the kids toys, empties and reloads the dishwasher, puts washing in the drier and so on. I do love getting home and seeing the wee touches - especially the kids rooms where she organises the toys in a variety of cute fashions
