Robot vacuums and dog hair.

I live in Spain with a Labrador and tiled floors. I basically spend my life vacuuming and brushing, as does my DH.
I am daydreaming of getting a robot vac that can trundle around 2/3 times a day to keep on top of it.
Can they handle a large volume of hair - Labs are double coated so a mix of long guard hairs and fine undercoat mixed with the Spanish fine dust ?

Are some better with dog hair than others ?
TIA

I have an eufy robovac to deal with our lab, the ground floor is all hard floors. I empty it daily although it could hold a couple of days worth of hair. It’s amazing. I put it on every morning and sometimes twice a day or just quickly run the vacuum around at the end of the day. It runs for a couple of hours but does then take a few hours to recharge although mine isn’t the newest model. It’s very satisfying seeing how much hair it collects! I find grooming everyday and a waterproof cover on the dog’s bed (easy to vacuum) also helps.

Yes they can. I have two dogs, one is a husky. I have a Eufy as well. Empty or daily and you'll have no issues.

Do you already use a rubber broom? That is the best, quick way to deal with dog hair.

I have a 1st generation xiaomi robot and a newer roborock S6 model. They deal with the hair from a retriever and 2 collies. The S6 has a mop function and I would not recommend it, as I think it doesn't hoover as well as the xiaomi (and the mop isn't great). The xiaomi is my preferred vacuum and deals with the areas the dogs stay in. Stick to a hoover model that only hoovers! I do have to empty them after just one vacuuming session/every day (so much hair) then about once every 3 weeks I need to remove the brush and snip out trapped hair (have 2 DDs that contribute to the hair accumulation). But this takes 2 minutes and the hoover saves so much time. I couldn't live without a robot, it was life changing getting one.

Ps, also, they are farm/working dogs and mud brought in dries to dust, robots deal with this just fine on tiled floors.

I've got large lab and wooden floors with rugs. We have a neato and he copes brilliantly.
Most of the year he only needs to go round once a day, but when the dog is moulting he often needs to go round morning and evening.

I have a cocker spaniel & 2 cats. We have 2 Eufy robot hoovers & I love them.

I do find the spaniel fluff wraps round the brush so have to take that off & remove it (only takes a few seconds) but I think a labs coat wouldn't do that. AwkwardPup brings in a ton of dried dirt & the hoovers pick up the fine layer of dust he leaves in his wake with ease.

I have a young baby too, so time to clean is limited. When DS naps, I try to have a quick 5 minute pick up, wipe the kitchen sides while the kettle boils & stick the hoovers on (we have an annoying step down to our kitchen diner, so I stick one in there & one in the living room & hallway area). Then I get to have a break & have an actual hot cup of tea rather than hoovering 😁

Three Dobermans and a Eufy robovac. No problem. It needs regular emptying and cleaning but I don't begrudge that because it's a lifesaver. Probably my best ever purchase. We're about to move house and I'm going to buy another so we have one up and one downstairs.

Oh and btw, also in Spain and living on an unmade road so dust is 😖 but Eufy can cope.
