How to clean cast iron Le Creuset casserole.

I have two Le Creuset cast iron casserole pots and they are looking a bit grub both in the outside and inside. They are black inside and don't look enamel. I've looked on the website and it doesn't look as if they sell these anymore, so not sure what the inside is, it looks slightly different from the outside. I've tried pink stuff and barkeepers friend has anyone got these and knows how to clean them.

If it's not enamel inside, what is it? It should say on the website - I'm thinking non stick or cast iron.

It says enamelled cast iron, doesn't specify interior/exterior, inside is definatly more matt than the outside, which is more satin I can't load pictures on my phone otherwise I'd show you.

They will never look good once you have used them a few times. My casserole dishes look like that and my pans are not much better.

I know what you mean, I use mine daily and they just stay on my hob, but I'm having a bew kitchen soon, maybe I'll have to finf cupboard space for them.

Mine are the 'standard' LC pans and the enamel comes up clean if I cook rhubarb in them. Soaking them in hot water and bio washing powder and then bringing that to the boil for a few mins works too. By the time the water has cooled, they're normally looking like new again.
