Hi, I have been a SAHM for about 10 years and I’m struggling to stay on top of the housework/healthy dinners. Does anybody have any tips/daily routines/meal plans to keep the house reasonably tidy & not serving pizza & chips etc for dinner every day 🙈 at the moment, every evening during the week & Saturdays are gone with the kids sports/activities, therefore I spend most of Sunday cleaning. my husband does help but he works very long hours 6 days a week so he is fairly wrecked come sunday. And with summer coming, we want to be able to go out and do stuff with the kids every Sunday. I know I need to get a routine going but just looking for ideas please. (I have already lowered my standards 🙈, I don’t need the house to be pristine, just don’t want to embarrassed anytime anyone pops in uninvited. Thanks 😊

You get your husband to do half of the stuff and the kids to pull their weight. How old are they?

Look at TOMM for ideas. There is an app you can pay for but there are free printables and info on the website.
3 week meal plan, batch cook, slow cooker, frozen veg, always have emergency super quick dinner stuff in if needed eg pasta, jar sauce, pine nuts/cheese and mixed frozen veg.
It shouldn’t take a full day to clean a house

Thanks @Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas Our kids are 15 and 11 and they do bit, but between school and activities, they are wrecked too. They clean up after dinner every evening but rise war if asked to do anything else like run the hoover around etc 🙈 we are working on that though 🙈 I think they have just gotten use to me doing everything over the past few years and going back to work has been such a shock to the system (for us all 🙈)

Thank you, I will look up TOMMS and start getting into the habit of batch cooking 😊

Get an eufy hoover!
Iron as little as possible, get the kids to fold and put away their own clothes. My 2 year old can sort and put away their own underwear so yours certainly can do their own.
