TMH I haven't been on MN for a while and not been doing much FLYing but I've seen your sad news today.

I really hope and pray Lincoln comes through this.

My DD2 had a similar start in life, she was delivered at 42 weeks, had fits and spent 3 weeks in SCBU, 2 weeks ventilated, after a normal pregnancy.

I expect you're all in shock at the moment, but I'm happy to chat any time if it might help. x

JingleyJen · 14/01/2008 13:49

Afternoon everyone
tmh sending positive vibes to baby Lincoln and his family.
Not read through the thread yet as am not sure how long I will get on for.
Things going well with the Flying for the last few days,
Going away overnight with M&D tomorrow (Christmas pressie from them) to a local hotel that has a swimming pool - DS's are really excited and all I can think is that Mum is going to comment about the weight that I have put on when she sees me in my swimsuit!

Sorry I know that in the grand scheme of things this isn't a huge problem just having a whinge.

Padboz if you want I can find some of the links on the flysite that I find more helpful

Janni · 14/01/2008 14:35

Jingleyjen - if it's any consolation my mother never mentions ANYONE without adding an observation on their weight. It used to drive me nuts, now I just accept she's never going to change. Just smile sweetly if she says anything and don't get drawn into discussion - your weight is nobody's business but yours.

I'm physically exhausted. Will have to move on to the 'getting fit' thread once I've got the hang of FLY. Am going to rest for half an hour (DD permitting) before school pick-up and the evening madness....

TheMadHouse · 14/01/2008 14:52

Thank you Bear for your words. I am just really waiting for news. My Brothers wifr is permenantly at the hpspital. It is just so sad. My step neice is only 20 and this is her first baby and step families can be complicated.

Her younger brother and Nan and Grandad are going in to see her this afternoon and I have given my brother the gifts we bought. A teddybear and babygrow and bibs - we bought these a while ago.

I just want her to know that we are all here for her. My SIL is very angry at the moment and is looking for some answers.

Scramble · 14/01/2008 14:59

My meal plan isn't really all that impressive . Just fed up bying in lots of veg and not getting the chance to use it.

Meal plan consists mainly of which days we will be getting dinner at MIl's. Other days its about trying to figure how much time I have to cook what before taking kids to that days activity.

One day is pizza or pasta got a bit of time to prep, another day I have plenty time so it is chicken day, other day is quick turnaround so will have to get into the habit of preparing through the day something I can reheat at night so thinking that will be mince night. Weekends I need something decent on standby as MIL will often start preparing meals for us with no warning other times all of a sudden I am home with two hungry kids. Often I work at least one day at weekend and exH might have them for the other day so I need something for them at night, but never know if they have stuffed their faces at pizza hut or only had a couple of chiken bits from KFC. Oh the joys.

BiancaCastafiore · 14/01/2008 15:46

Home from work and the school run. Got home from work at 2ish so did a quick hoover round downstairs and s&s-ed the kitchen and cloakroom. Also sorted some washing and put away some clean laundry.

I've forgotten to sew dds gym badges on to her gym clothes so must to those now before gym club starts again tomorrow.

Easy supper here this eve - jacket pots with tuna.

TMH to hear about little Lincoln. Sending positive thoughts to you and the whole family at this time.
Jen My MIL always comments on peoples weight or the state of their house - I struggle with both so always get stressed when she's due a visit! Have a nice night away
Luda lol @ as rare as rocking horse poo
Can't remember what else I was going to say, sorry

Grouchyoscar · 14/01/2008 17:23

THM I have posted on your other thread. What a terrible situation for everyone. I hope Lincoln is holding his own and fighting back. Bloody Hell, haven't you had enough to put up with recently? It's just not on. Positive Vibes coming your way.

Nothing else to say really, every thing just seems irrelevant.

grannyslippers · 14/01/2008 20:13

I'm still babystepping, yet to do today's.

Blitzed the house top and bottom today though, so the decluttering sort of got wrapped up in that.

Definitely a more tidy air to the place.

the getting dressed first thing is still a struggle though

Janni · 14/01/2008 21:20

Thanks Don'tdreamit -I'll try to work out something along those lines that I can stick to. I'm definitely making progress. The flat is not as clean as it could be but it is much much tidier and that makes me feel so much calmer.

I'm going to watch TV and write up some addresses. Night all x
