Morning, can anyone please recommend ways in which I can remove water stains from shower glass?

Ecover limescale remover. Quite hard to get hold of and not cheap but works wonders on this.

I use Elbow Grease paste and a soft cloth. Brings them up sparkling!

For stubborn marks you need this by HG. I get it in my local homeware shop but you can get it in some supermarkets/online.

Then it's about maintenance. Use a window squeegee after every shower and use a daily shower spray. Rub marks with a soft cloth when they appear.

White vinegar left overnight on then a damp eclogue for glass.

I have used viakal in the past at some of my private clients. Spray it all over, go do another room, then come back and wipe away. Might need two applications, depending on how heavy the deposits are.

Ecloth

Another vote for Vikal - once clean keep a squeegee in the shower and make everyone who showers in there squeegee/ wipe the glass down after showers. You may still need a Vikal spray once a week to keep on top of it.

Ecloth and white vinegar

Once clean use method shower spray after every shower

I live in a very hard water area and would second the use of a squeegee and shower spray after every shower once you get it clean, this (and a wipe down with a soft cloth once every couple of weeks) has kept my shower screen clear of water marks for a good few years. Viakal is good at getting rid of limescale build up in the first place.

I use the HG limescale remover

Felicity42 · 03/06/2022 15:35

Cif cleaner on a scrubbing sponge. Those kitchen sponges with scrubber on one side.

Thanks so much for all your suggestions. I will try cif cream cleaner and a scourer first as I have that.

Has anybody tried having a shower curtain as well and do you think it would help.

RewildingAmbridge · 11/06/2022 14:06

Ecover limescale remover, on offer at Tesco at the moment, or Waitrose own version is just as good and cheaper. We live in a very hard water area, use method daily with squeedgee (unless DH has last shower and forgets) and clean with the limescale remover once a week
