Range cooker with induction hob

Anyone have one? Or more specifically had one for more than 2-3 years without the induction hob developing a fault?

Planning new kitchen and looking at a Falcon or Rangemaster (or Mercury if funds permit) but so many online reviews say the induction hob fails just outside the 2-year warranty window and costs a lot to replace.

rangemaster, it's absolutely fine, 6+ years. I hadn't read that about the induction part failing ... that would be expensive!

Yes, we have a Rangemaster. Worked perfectly for 8 years

Rangemaster 110 also. Had it for 6 years and never a problem. No idea how I managed before!

We have an induction Aga. Believe it is made by Rangemaster. Had it for 8 years now

amazonianwoman · 14/05/2022 14:46

Thanks all, that's encouraging. Guess most people only leave reviews if they're going to complain!

I've got a Range master 110 - had it for 10 years. Two hobs failed at the 8 and 10 year mark respectively, got them replaced individually for about £200 each. Door seal also failed, replaced for about £30.

Love my rangemaster!

I can cope with 8 or 10 years, probably won't be in the house by then Grin

I had a range master for 10 years. Super range, it was sold with my last house and I miss it.
The glass on the hob broke in the first year but was replaced under warranty.

We have had a Belling for a few years with no problems yet.

We have had a Belling since the start of first lockdown when the Rangemaster order we'd put through with curry's got massively delayed. Although it wasn't our first choice we're very happy with it and saved nearly £2k!! The only thing is the induction job isn't quite so easy to use as the RM but once you get used to it it's totally fine.

I agree re the induction controls but it was the only one that was suitable for our space.

Rangemaster Toledo owner here for 9years and no problems at all with the induction. We're having to replace the door catches ( inexpensive) on the ovens this year but that's the first repair we've made.
