Help with this stain on dd's leggings?

Dd (10 months) was given one of those carrot puff crisp things at a baby group yesterday. She sort of sucked it a bit until it was mushy, dropped it and sat on it.
Washed her clothes today in the normal wash cycle (eco cycle, bio powder and sensitive softener) and there is a stain on the leggings.

Any ideas how to remove it? Anything orange coloured is terrible for me to get out of clothes unless its something white I can soak in milton or similar.

Ive attached a pic. Should i be pre soaking these types of stains? Or a hotter wash?
Dont remember this issue with my older boys but maybe their clothes were generally darker? The leggings are a light peachy pink.

Thanks!

Stick it in a patch of sunlight and leave it for a good while.

You can spray with a stain remover before the first wash or soak in napisan gets anything out. As you’ve now washed it the only thing which will get it out is sunshine.

Try washing again after treating with ecover stain remover or putting it in sunshine. DD is a nightmare with food stains and ecover is the only one that seems to get rid.

Its to be sunny tomorrow but will try that.

Is napisan a bleaching type thing like milton?

I would leave it in neat fairy liquid for a couple of hours and then scrub with toothbrush.

Also I would buy dark clothes when she’s outgrown these light ones.

You know when people say "put it out in the sun" does the item of clothing need to be damp for this to work? As ive had stains even the sun cant shift and im wondering maybe if the stain needs to be wet?

Ive got a top of dd's where a similar thing happened and had an orange mark but has been washed and is dry already. Today is very sunny but should I dampen the stain first?

The clothing needs to be wet; good luck.

I'd recommend the Elbow Grease stain remover bar for future instances. Even gets dried blood out. No bleach. Just enzymes. £1

SoupDragon · 18/03/2022 11:19

I just put it in the sun, wet or dry.

Me too. A few hours does the trick usually I find and as long as it’s dry it’ll even work on overcast days. It doesn’t work on pens, paint usually but food stains it generally works like a charm.

You can buy similar stain remover bars from Astonish and Vanish.

Wet the stain with cold water, give a good rub with bar then your hands. Let it sit for a bit before washing.
