Have you tried Vikal? That's a good limescale remover. Soak it on for 10 mins will come up nicely.

Or try a limescale remover that comes in a bleach type bottle, it'll be where the loo cleaning products are in the supermarket

I use limescale toilet bleach, squirt on and leave for 30 - 60 mins, no rubbing and light rub off with scourer when rinsing.

Have you tried a damp 2p piece? It works on my taps and sink. I'd try it at the back to check it doesn't scratch the finish first.

Spray on a limescale cleaner, leave it a few minutes, then scrub with an old toothbrush.

FrogOfFrogHall · 25/02/2022 06:26

You can also wrap the area in kitchen towel then soak the towel in vinegar and leave overnight.

Vinegar

RedWingBoots · 25/02/2022 06:40

Spray on limescale remover, which can be a supermarket generic one, and a toothbrush. Then going forward regular use of cream cleaner e.g. cif and a toothbrush.

BlueFlavour · 25/02/2022 06:42

I use vinegar. And paper towel. Very satisfying Smile

drwitch · 25/02/2022 06:43

Citric acid

PAFMO · 25/02/2022 06:45

Viakal is excellent

yorkshireteaspoonie · 25/02/2022 06:49

White vinegar on small cotton wool face pads. Soak the pad and press onto the limescale. Leave for at least half an hour then wipe away with the cotton pad. Works around the tap mouth also, just use an elastic band to hold the pad over it.

Gabbiadini · 25/02/2022 06:51

Cillit bang lime scale stuff and a toothbrush.

SpikeySmooth · 25/02/2022 06:55

Encoder limescale remover is good.

SpikeySmooth · 25/02/2022 06:55

ECOVER damn fat fingers!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 25/02/2022 10:17

Viakal. It works.

Livedandlearned · 25/02/2022 13:29

A lemon cut in half and left of the tap for a few hours

NightmareSlashDelightful · 25/02/2022 13:34

I do the paper towel/vinegar thing. Not recommended on granite/marble/limestone surfaces though (can't really see what the sink is made of from your pic)

jytdtysrht · 25/02/2022 13:34

Durgol universal descaler. Soak a piece of kitchen Roll in it, put it round the base of tap, come back 20 mins later and it’ll wipe straight off.
This descaler is food safe and gentle, no horrible smell. Expensive as you get what you pay for in this case. Can get it off Amazon.

poorlybaby · 25/02/2022 19:30

Thanks all. I used viakal and it worked a treat 😊
