Product rec please for caked on grime (kitchen floor tiles)

Over the last decade, my floor only ever got a quick wipe with the mop after vacuuming. The dark terracotta tiles were very forgiving.
They now look grubby and really need a proper clean. Can you please recommend a good product?
I don't think anti bac spray or floor spray will touch it. Thank you!

Elbow Grease spray will bring it up like new, but it will be slippy as hell until it's rinsed and dried so if you do use it, be careful

Old fashioned Ajax or vim and a scrubbing brush or pan scourer. Then scrub and rinse well. I has a kitchen with years of uncleared grime on the floor and it worked like a charm

OK brilliant thanks both. God, I remember Ajax and vim from the 70s! Where do you get them from?

Morrisons, Amazon or Robert Dyas all have vim/Ajax. I'm sure independent hardware stores will as well.

I've just bought a Shark steam cleaner that has rotating cleaning pads - that might help. The steam would soften built up grime and the pads would wipe them away. They aren't very big though so it might take a few gos.

When you say terracotta do you mean the colour or the substance?

a deck scrubber which i a very hard nylon bristled brush is what is used in the kitchen at the restaurant i work at you dip the brush in hot soapy water give the floor a good scrub and then mop with a good old fashioned cotton mop surprising how much muck it brings up

Elbow Grease now has a wider range of products including a Jif-like cream cleaner. I used that on my oven and got it looking clean again, so it should do a reasonable job on tiles with a scrubby-thing.

I really like the original yellow Elbow Grease spray, it's the only product that got burnt on greb off my cooker top. I get Elbow Grease products from Savers/Home & Bargain type shops, as well as The Range.

Steam clean it several days in a row then steel wool on any stubborn bits. Final steam clean.
