Range cooker

Has anyone purchased a a range style cooker in the last couple of years that they would recommend? We are doing up our kitchen and really want to buy one, but our understanding is Rangemaster have really gone down hill recently quality wise. We will be here for the next 16 years so I want something that will last.
Thanks,

Agas always help sell a house but get an electric one and a module for the summer. We also had a belling at one point.

I love our oil fired Rayburn.

I purchased a lovely black Flavel one from curry's a few years ago

We have a Smeg one and it's fab.

Recently bought the Rangemaster Elise 110 dual fuel. Purely because I like how it looks 🤦🏼‍♀️ We haven't moved back in after building works yet, so haven't used it. I already know that I'm going to hate cleaning it!!

Currently living with my in laws and they've got a very beautiful Lacanche 150 dual fuel range (that we couldn't afford!). I actually hate cooking with it.

I already miss my lovely Neff induction hob and hide n slide ovens with glass doors and fast heat up function 😂

I recently moved and the new house came with an old and dirty Belling dual fuel range which I had professionally cleaned and I really love it! Made the nicest roast potatoes on Christmas day!

hesbeen2021 · 01/01/2022 08:25

I've just moved and left my Rangemaster Professional Plus. It was fabulous and about five years old, couldn't fault it and no idea why I left it except the couple I sold the house to were so lovely!
Once I can afford it I'm getting another one

RunRunGingerbreadMan · 01/01/2022 08:33

Not much help really, but I love my Rangemaster with induction hob!

TinselTottyTart · 01/01/2022 08:35

Just a tip if you are getting older. Wall ovens are easier to access and clean. I have had an Aga all my life, love them, but I am having a new neff hide and slide when I move.

Everhot. Absolutely love it.

I was thinking about this over the morning and when we were looking for houses electric ranges were very off putting. They either cost a clean fortune to run or are so well insulated you end up using the central heating more. We were keen for oil or mains gas, and would have considered solid fuel.

I have the Rangemaster Nexus SE. Dual Fuel.
I have it a year now and I adore it. Its a dream to use and has many functions.
So far no issues.

I know people tend to look down on rangemaster but we have the classic deluxe electric with induction hob and we love it. It is about 4 years old now.

Some of the hobs misbehave a bit and don't go on the fast boil settings but that's because dh managed to put bread in the oven with a tray of water and then pushed trays etc that were on the hob back and blocked the vents so he basically steamed the hob which funnily enough it didn't like. We could have got it repaired I'm sure but it was just out of warranty so didn't bother.

Somehow I didn't kill him. He must have distracted me with his fresh bread.

I think the opposite. Gas is a fossil fuel so is costing so much more. Our electric is cheap and with the push away from fossil fuels they may not last.

we have a dual fuel stoves sterling which we bought on offer. Our choice was more limited as we needed something for a 90cm gap and wanted stainless steel.

The dials are supposed to be easy to remove for cleaning - they're actually a bit of a faff so I never really bother. The easy remove function does mean that they don't feel as robust as I would like, but that said they have been trouble free in the years we've owned the oven so far, just like the oven itself.

As a more budget friendly option I'd happily recommend them

Thanks so much everyone. Budget is up to about £2500 so lots of options to consider here!

We've got a Rangemaster duel fuel classic deluxe 110, been fitted for 5 years now and never had any issues with it. I love it.
