Leaving wet clothes in the dryer

We usually do 3-4 washing loads a day and are now stressed playing catch-up after a couple of days without over christmas.

Well yesterday I put a towel load on to dry about 5pm; it beeped to say the cycle had ended at about 9pm. Stupidly didnt check them, just opened the door a little and went to bed. This morning, put my 6mo ds's clothes on to wash. When his clothes were done I went to empty the dryer and all the towels were still soaking - so will have been in there 13 hours+.

I assumed the filter just needed changing, so I've done that (though it didn't look like it needed it) and put DS's clothes straight in to dry.

Have put the towels on to rewash...but do I also need to rewash the baby clothes I just put straight in the dryer, and wipe out the dryer with some vinegar or something? Not sure if mold/ mildew can have developed in it in that time in the hot environment of the dryer, or if I'm fussing over nothing?

You’re worrying about nothing, carry on as normal.

Tbh I wouldn’t even have rewashed the towels, it’s only a few hours.

Tbh I rewashed the towels as we don't have enough hanging space and I was prioritising putting ds's stuff in the dryer as he needs some clothes. But this is a relief to hear as I think I was going to break down if I needed to do any additional loads 😅
